Cooking Mother’s Day Lunch Early

I’m cooking Mother’s Day lunch early… the beef short ribs were cooked last night and marinating in a pot of red wine reduction in the fridge. Right now i’ve been babying a pot of onions for french onion soup for almost 3 hours already with no end in sight!

Man cooking for 12 people is no joke!!!

Mr. Jon Sibal has gotten a lot of attention for his speculative renderings as of late. I asked him for some BBS LM-Rs for my birthday and so instead of giving me REAL ONES he gave me a rendering of one. Some company better pay top dollar for this one Jon!! Also, hugest candles I’ve ever seen! Haha!

I get home around 6:30p everyday, so the only way to get dinner on the table in a timely manner is by cooking what I can the night before.

It’s 10:30… now I can take a shower and watch a little TV before bed.

Logan sent me a picture he found on flickr… it was a picture of Nadine and I taken by my long time buddy Kyle. This got me looking through his photos and man… I miss those days!

Sunrise Serenade

So Brian McKnight hosts a radio show in Southern California on 94.7 The Wave. Every morning he does what’s called a Sunrise Serenade where people call in and request a song, which he will sing live while he plays either his electric piano or a guitar.

He’s definitely one of my favorite R&B singers and when I found out he was doing this on his show I had to request one for Nadine for our anniversary. If you want to hear him give Nadine a surprise phone call at work, they’ll play it on our anniversary – next Wednesday the 30th between 7am-7:15am.

Can’t wait!

Back From Vacation

Saw a Screening for AVATAR Last Night

It was in 3D IMAX… and it was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen in a movie theater… ever! I was told that James Cameron has the most expensive budget ever to create this movie… let’s hope it doesn’t suck like Titanic did!!! After the screener, I don’t know how it could suck!

Went to see the Dodgers last weekend

The Dodgers totally choked!!

But being at a game is always fun. We had special box seats thanks to Scott and the gang at Koyo. Free fancy food and super close seats. Our area was in the foul ball zone and we must have gotten 90% of them… there were maybe 15-20 balls caught in the seats around us. It was hard to relax with all these balls flying towards my face. That’s what she said.

Here’s my view from my seat. The dude in front of us (lower left in the pic) was some kind of teeny bopper heart throb cuz the little ones kept walking over from everywhere to get his autograph.
