Went autocrossing last saturday with Nadine, Kyle, Tach, Cameron, and Chano… It went pretty well… For Chano’s first autocross, he did pretty well. Tach did a lot of learning that day so it was a pretty good day for him too. Kyle did well considering that his car is so heavy and he has seats made of lubrication (hahaha!)… NADINE ROCKED MY NATION! She was really fast… I sat in her car and she had awesome line and good braking points… If she keeps this up, she’ll be destroying my times really soon. I tested out my new suspension on the track… Man, it was so different… as in night and day. There was pretty much no body roll, and the car seems to want to come loose through every turn. It’s a good thing that I’ve learned to control the car with the previous suspension, because I was able to control the sliding smoothly and I didn’t have a hard time understanding the weight balance of the car. I did pretty well at the autocross, considering that I still haven’t learned the suspension yet, but damn… that track ate up my tires!

I went to touge last night… I haven’t been there in a while, but it almost felt like I haven’t been gone. My rear tires were not slipping like they usually would have been, but it still felt like I was driving pretty fast… And in the process of driving so hard, the engine overheated way bad and I had to slow down and let it cool off after driving about 3/4 of the uphill run. I also shook the hell out of my turbo, and 2 out of the 3 nuts holding my turbo to my exhaust manifold fell off. And my clutch is making bad noises now… So much I have to do before the Speedtrial event at Willow Springs. Plus I’ll be at an Auto-X event on October 6, in El Toro, so if you’re there… see you there. or something. haha.
Okay, I have TWO (yes, two) nails in my driver’s side rear tire. So I guess it’s time to get some new drift crapola SPL rear tires, huh? Yes, I think so. I put the passenger side S14 seat in, and the passengers love it. Plus, it makes my car’s interior look so much nicer. Now I just need some 180sx rear seats. Another one of my muffler hangers broke off… AGAIN. I think it’s time to consider another brand of mufflers. Haha!
I may have to pull the turbo out to fix the ehxaust leak, but hopefully what I did this morning will hold for a while until I have the patience to do that. I haven’t been to touge in about a month… It’s calling me!! I need to get some tires and do a few things to the car before I’m ready to go back up… plus I need hapa180sxxy to go with me. She tells me when I’m driving fast or when I need to speed up.
I fixed the leak between my extension pipe and my downpipe… to find out that I have another leak! Hahah! So lemme find that, then I need to fix my fuel gauge problem, and my suspension… then I need new tires. I guess sileighties need patience!
Well, I have a bad exhaust leak, vacuum leak, and my speedometer & fuel gauge don’t work, and I’m running out of money. I hope to fix my speedometer, but the fuel gauge problem is problably from the sender unit in my fuel tank. The exhaust leak should be fixed soon too. I need suspension badly… bad things are happening to my car. As you can tell, this is one of the low times of having a thrashed modified car. Hopefully things will be good soon.
