Joi Starr

If you’re into R&B and in southern California, you’ve probably noticed that R&B practically died on the radio stations as of late. What happened??

I’ve resorted to listening to alternative and jazz and finding smaller lesser-known artists from the internet.

Here’s an example of a singer I stumbled across… her name is Joi Starr and she’s currently a back up singer on tour with Kanye West. She’s a great singer and I like her relaxed sounding voice vs. some of those singers who belt out songs at the top of their lungs (although I like some artists like that too).

Hold On – Joi Starr

I’ll be on the lookout for an upcoming album for sure

Good morning. If you want to avoid criticism… Do nothing… Say nothing… BE NOTHING…

Nadine and I have had the worst time trying to figure out where the cats’ litter boxes will go in our new house. I HATE litter boxes… they always stink and the cats always kick the litter outside of the box and all over the floor. NASTY!

Well… we’ve been thinking for weeks now and we haven’t been able to come up with any good ideas, besides cutting a hole in our fire rated garage door and putting the litter boxes in the garage. Smart right?

On a side note, did you know that 80% of house fires start in the garage? That’s why houses with detached garages are cheaper to insure… and attached garages have a firewall between the house and the garage.

Well, while talking to Dave over IM today, I realized that I’ve lost sight of my long time goal of toilet training the cats! That solves the whole litter issue and the whole burning my house down issue! If I can do it, I’ll be able to walk around the house with my shoes off like a normal Asian and my house won’t smell like cat crap everyday!

It’s gonna be hard… but I’m determined!

I was looking at media day coverage from Formula D Long Beach and I had to laugh when I saw this picture of Ken Gushi’s newly painted car for 2009.

Look at his crew guy’s shirt… and then look at his face. It’s the same!

When Ken told me about the new paint scheme for 2009, I was pretty excited. I’d have to say that it looks pretty good!

Although now that the old RS-R livery is gone… I kind of miss it. It brought back good memories of the old RS-R Drift festival days.

So I realized there is a dim sum place next to my office… Dim sum for lunch anytime I want? Oh my lucky stars!

Yeah, he sold his ae86 and bought an s13… who’d think that would ever happen?!

The car looks really cool and early 2000s style.

Nice!
