Got my compression test done. My turbo seals are bad. This probably means that I’m not going to make it to Speedtrial on July 7. Damn, I really wanted to go. I guess it’s okay… I have more money now, and it’s not like I don’t go to touge whenever I want either. Anyway, I’m trying to figure out what I’m gonna do now with this turbo situation… wish me luck.

So there’s a little kink in my plan of getting ready for Streets of Willow… I was at touge last weekend, and after an hour or so of trying to keep the tail end under control, white smoke was spurting out of my muffler. I’m burning oil… Next thing I need to do is diagnose what is wrong with the car and find out where the oil is coming from… I hope it is not from the piston rings…

I picked up some rotors yesterday. They are brembos that are cross-drilled and slotted by a company called KRP. Now I just need to get some brake pads and new stainless lines, and I’m finished with my brake junk for streets of willow on july 7. I also got my Nardi steering wheel in… I love it! Other things I need to do for speedtrial: change oil, change lsd oil, GET TIRES, flush coolant, get new shocks, get an alignment, and maybe install my new thermostat. I’ve got a lot of work to do!

The MK-II don’t exactly fit how I would like them to fit… I’m not sure what I’m going to do yet, but they are in great condition, and they are my favorite wheel, so I’m going to try and see what I can do… the offset isn’t the problem, but the way the wheel is designed. The face of the wheel rubs against my calipers… frustration.

I picked up a set of SSR MK-II today. They are red, 15×7 with 0 offset and in great condition. I will most likely sandblast the face of the wheels so that they are silver, and run them up front, with my MK-III in the rear. Also, I’m working on the SileightyManiaSPL front underspoiler… hopefully it will be on by Sunday. Pictures will be up as soon as it’s finished. Oh yeah, also picked up a door panel from the wrecking yard… its being cleaned and soon the door panel fabric from my old door will be put on the new one.

Washed my car today, and my friends and I went up to touge for some photo taking. It was Ken, Antonio, Kyle, and Javierrrrr. Took some group photos, did some donuts and figure-8’s, and then a lot of drifting afterwards. Javier did really well for his first time drifting his new 86. Then he got pretty good at the end of the day, taking better drifting line, and keeping the drift much longer than he was before. Antonio got out there and started to drift too, mid 2nd gear drifts as he was learning how to side brake drift. I was out there in high 2nd gear around 50mph at least. We had a good time, and I’m really happy to see my friends get better at drifting. Plus, all their cars looked good and I’m real excited to see the film when it gets developed. I should have mine by tomorrow afternoon! Haha!
